Volunteering and Social Events
The ICM Group are renowned for their fun packed staff parties and often indulge in a spot of fancy dress or team games.
The 2009 Christmas party was fancy dress on the theme Around the World. The 2010 Summer party started with face painting, a bouncy castle and ice creams for the kids, moving on to rock bands, beer and bonfires after dark for the adults! Photos available on our show gallery.
Other social events have included go-karting, laser blast and pub quizzes. Many more events are in the pipeline.
ICM Group staff are able to take two days a year during working hours to participate in volunteer days in support of local charities. This is not only beneficial to the charities but also an opportunity for staff to do something altruistic and enjoy teamworking with colleagues they may not usually work with on a day to day basis. In 2009, five volunteer days were organised with local charity the Manx Wildlife Trust, helping to get a new wildflower garden and nursery ready for the grand opening on Manx national holiday, Tynwald Day. In May 2010, a group of ICM volunteers helped support the Hospice black tie event that took place in the gardens of Billown Manor House near Castletown on the Isle of Man. This event was sponsored by the ICM Group.
Other individual fundraising activities are supported by ICM Directors on a discretionary basis. These have included marathon runs, charity treks and sponsored walks.
